A prescreen process is mandatory for admission to any classes. Dogs and Handlers that complete two 8 week sessions at full price are eligible to join Top Class K-9 Dog Training Club.
From Class to the Show Ring
Top Class K-9 Obedience – Beginner$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for dogs 5 months or older.
You will be instructed on how reliably train your dog on-leash in the Beginner obedience curriculum. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a standard 6 ft leash and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Obedience – Intermediate$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for dogs 12 months or older. Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Obedience Beginner. Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview.
You will be instructed on how reliably train your dog on-leash in the Intermediate obedience curriculum. Some off-leash work begins in this class. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a standard 6 ft leash or training leash and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Competition Obedience – Novice$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for those dog/handler pairs training for the Novice ring. Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Obedience Intermediate, Off-Leash Level 1 or private programs with trainer approval. Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview.
You will be instructed on how reliably proof your dog in the Novice exercises. Some off-leash work may be done. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a standard 6 ft leash or training leash and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Pre – Open$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for those dog/handler pairs training for the Open ring.Pre-requisite is a CD title or successful completion of a Novice class and approval from the instructor.
Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview. You will be instructed on how reliably train a working retrieve, jump conditioning, correct gaits and preliminary work necessary for performing the Open exercises. A great deal of off-leash work will be done. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a training leash, a shark like or light line, dumbbell and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Competition Obedience – Open$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for those dog/handler pairs training for the Open ring.Pre-requisite is a CD title or successful completion of a Novice class and approval from the instructor.
Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview. The dog must be able to perform a working retrieve, an out of sight Sit and Down stay.
You will be instructed on how reliably train and proof your dog in the Open exercises. A great deal of off-leash work will be done. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a training leash, dumbbell and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Rally Obedience – Beginner/Novice$160.00 per 8 weeks This class is intended for dog and handler pairs that are interested in having fun with their dogs learning Rally Obedience. Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Intermediate or private program.
Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview. The dog must be able to be tethered or crate reliably. You will be instructed on how learn the Novice Rally signs and exercises. Novice course work will be done. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.

Top Class K-9 Rally Obedience – Advanced/Excellent $160.00 per 8 weeks
This class is intended for dog and handler pairs that are interested in having fun with their dogs and are preparing for the Rally Advanced and Excellent ring. Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Rally Beginner/Novice or the having earned a Rally Novice title on the dog to be enrolled.
Admittance may be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview.The dog must be able to be tethered or crated reliably.
You will be instructed on how to navigate the Advanced and Exellent Rally course. Tools used are toy motivators, treat motivators and rewards.
You must equip your dog with a standard 6 ft or training leash and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. You must bring a crate for your dog.This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Attention Level 1$100.00 per 6 weeks
This class is intended for dog and handler pairs that are interested in improving their dog's attention during obedience exercises. This class is taught by guest instructor, Peggy Phelps. Are you struggling with attention during heeling? Stand For Exam? Recalls? You will be instructed on how to connect with your dog to develop better attention during competitive obedience exercises.
Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Intermediate or Off-Leash Level 1. Admittance will be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program or completed the above prerequisites, on an individual basis only. This class is suitable for handlers who are preparing for or already competing in the Novice ring.
You must equip your dog with a standard 6 ft or training leash and flat buckle collar or martingale collar. This is a motivational and reward oriented class.
Top Class K-9 Attention Level 2$100.00 per 6 weeks
This class is intended for dog and handler pairs that are interested in improving their dog's attention during more advanced obedience exercises. This class is taught by guest instructor, Peggy Phelps. Are you still struggling with attention during heeling? Retrieves? Drops? You will be instructed on how to connect with your dog to develop better attention during more advanced competitive obedience exercises.
Prerequisite is the successful completion of the Top Class K-9 Competition Novice Obedience or Off-Leash Level 2. Dog should have been introduced to the dumbbell and jumping. This class is suitable for handlers who are preparing for or already competing in the Open ring. Admittance will be granted to dogs and handlers who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program or completed the above prerequisites, on an individual basis only.
