Our modules are individual classes that work along a function specific model. These classes are held one at a time and work on certain skill sets at all levels.
An Obedience Exercises class would include all levels of dogs, even beginners. Each dog and handler work on the exercises at their own level and pace.
For example: the beginner dog will do stays for a shorter duration, shorter distance and less distraction, while the advanced dogs, will do longer duration, longer distance or out of sight and increased distraction.
We also offer our regular classes as modulars on occasion, specifically between regular sessions in July, August and December. Prerequisities will apply for all competition and Rally classes.
Please refer to the Class Calendar for class dates Class enrollment is limited to 8 dogs Prices are subject to change.
A prescreen process is mandatory for admission to any classes.
Top Class K-9 Proofing and Distraction Per Occurrence Pet and competition dogs are welcome.
Are you having problems with your dog working around distraction? Does your dog insist on visiting everyone ringside? Does your dog jump on everyone? Take food from tables and children? Bring their dumbbell to the judges and ring stewards? Does your dog have "propeller head" during Rally or obedience? Does your dog need multiple commands because they are not watching or are distracted? Gets up in the Stays?
This modular addresses proofing and distraction training. Proofing is what is practiced once the dog knows the exercises but needs help with functioning with significant distraction.
We will work on different skill sets each time. Each class description on the schedule will indicate what skill sets will be worked on. We do not train the skills in these classes. Participating dogs need to have basic training in the skill sets specific to the class you are attending.
We will help you with interventions to create a reliable dog. This class is not suitable for dogs that are still experiencing significant aggressive episodes (lunging, growling, challenging other dogs). The dog must be able to function on the floor with other dogs in close proximity.
Module: Rally, Novice to Excellent. Dog and Handler must know Rally exercises at least Novice level.
Module: Standard Obedience commands, recalls, Stays, proofing against food/noise/visuals. Dog must know basic obedience commands. All levels welcome.
