Top Class K-9 Recreational Agility Just for Fun! - Intro to Agility
This class is intended for dogs 12 months of age and older. This class focuses on learning agility obstacles and having fun with your dog. This is a perfect class for those folks who want to learn new things with their pets as well as Obedience competitors who wish to keep their obedience dogs supple and athletic. Learning recreational agility is a great low stress way to offer the competition obedience dog or bored pet a relief from the show ring tedium and/or home environment. This class will teach you to develop focus and teach you to enroll and engage your dog. This class also serves as introduction to agility for those who may wish to move on to competition.
Prerequisite: Beginner Obedience or approval from Head Trainer.
Admittance will be granted to dogs and handler who have not participated in a Top Class K-9 program on an individual basis only after an interview.

Top Class K-9 Intro to Handling/Novice Handling
This class is for clients who have graduated the Top Class K-9 Introduction to Agility and are interested in moving forward in the sport of canine agility.
This class focuses on the steps and turns used to maneuver a dog/handler team around a course. It will introduce and sharpen post turns, front crosses, rear crosses, blind crosses, as well as begin sequencing for straight lines, pin wheels, 180 degree turns, and serpentines. Class will include short sequences and work up to full courses of the Novice/Starters and Open/Advanced levels.
Prerequisite: Dog/handler team must have approval from the instructor, and be capable of completing all obstacles independently, with the exception of weaves, which will be introduced in this class.

Top Class K-9 Advanced/Masters Handling
This class focuses on sharpening and fine-tuning maneuvers in order to find the quickest, most efficient way to maneuver a course. Sequences such as serpentines, backsides, threadles, 270 degree turns, Reverse Flow Pivots, and Ketschker turns will be introduced. Finer point of handling such as acceleration and deceleration cues, body stance, signals, and eye contact will be discussed and improved upon. Training advanced maneuvers such as collection, extension, wraps, distance, and directionals aid dogs in faster and smoother running courses.
Prerequisite: Dog/handler teams must be currently running in the Advanced/Open level in competition, and with approval from the instructor.
